What to do when you visit
I am sure you are just going to be completely jetlagged when you get here so you probably wont have much energy to do much apart from eat, drink and sleep.

For places to eat around here you cant really beat this. The only problem is its a wopping 250 dollars a head and you have got to get the ferry there, which doesnt actually take very long. I know that Bruce and Sylvia have aways been wanting to go there so maybe that would be a great opportunity for you to spend some time with them also.

The steakhouse which is quite near to us on the other hand might be a better idea. Its part of the swimming and fitness club that we belong to and just up the road from us. We could go there on your last night on Monday.
On Sunday during the day you could come with us as guests, our treat, to experience the spa pool in the club whilst the children go swimming. I think there are tanning beds too so you can actually get some sun when you come. That would be nice and relaxing for you and its only a five minute drive up the road.

Then there's the Lynden Dutch Bakery famous for its home baked goods which might be a good place for mid-day treats.

Thats probaby enough for starters. Of course we could just eat in and order takeaway but there arent many takeaway places in Lynden. There is a Greek restaurant and there is a really nice fresh fish and chips restaurant and thats about it.
I am sure you dont want to be driving long distances. Otherwise I could just plan a menu for eating in.
We have also worked out what would be the best sleeping arrangement. We are going to take the sofa settee downstairs, D is going to take our room and Ian is going to take the twin bed in Sam's room. I am hoping Ian that your legs wont hang off the end. Its an adult size twin bed so it should be ok.
Comments and thoughts appreciated.
